LIVESTOCK TECHNICIAN – POULTRY SPECIALIST (M/F)

LE GRENIER DE MENGANG is recruiting a Poultry Livestock Technician to strengthen its livestock unit within an integrated agro-pastoral project combining livestock and agriculture.

MAIN MISSION
Under the supervision of the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the setup, technical monitoring and optimization of poultry production units, with a strong focus on productivity, biosecurity and sustainability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Setup and management of poultry flocks (broilers and/or layers)
• Daily monitoring of : feeding, watering, hygiene and biosecurity, animal health and mortality
• Strict application of technical and sanitary protocols
• Monitoring of zootechnical performance (growth rate, egg production, feed consumption)
• Supervision and organization of workers assigned to poultry units
• Participation in maintenance of poultry houses and equipment

Strong additional assets:
Occasional support to: cattle and goat farming activities and agricultural activities related to animal feed (forage crops, fields).

REQUIRED PROFILE

• Training in: livestock production, zootechnics, animal production or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience or solid practical knowledge in poultry farming is required
• Skills in cattle and goat farming: strong advantage
• Basic knowledge in agriculture and forage production: advantage

• Minimum level: Technical training in livestock production
• Experience: Preferred in poultry farming
